NOTE: This is not a seminar it is a class with a hands-on environment designed to teach church safety officers how to respond to potential threat issues both individually and as part of a team.

This class uses RBT (Reality Based Training) scenarios in real time to build both the individual team members skills and confidence as well as build an effective “team” dynamic. This is done through basic demonstrations and classroom time at the beginning then transitioning into actual hands on training and practice by students. All the scenarios used were developed from actual events in faith based organizations across the US.

Scenarios will range from benign encounters with regular people attending the facility to varying levels of threat. Your role as a safety officer will be to assess each situation on its merits and respond accordingly. Including any need for ministry.

Note: Absolutely zero real weapons allowed in the training area… no exceptions! ALL participants will pass through a metal detection station before scenarios begin so please leave any real weapons in your vehicle or otherwise secured outside the training area for the day. Training weapons will be provided.
